Mike is an ex-racing cyclist and has become a veteran of tourist trials since he re-started cycling in his mid forties. Now no longer the mile-eater of his youth he has nonetheless completed over 100,000 miles by bike since 1997 when he took early retirement. He organises Lancaster’s Audax events which have now become part of the established cycling scene. Club runs and cycling holidays in France are his particular preference.
Dave cycles with the CTC, leading rides fairly regularly, and also with friends, alone, and with his mountaineering club, off and on road. He enjoys the Dales, Lakes and Scotland, both for walking and cycling and skis abroad every winter. Not getting any younger, but thinks the bike is one of the best ways to keep old age at bay!!
